Obelisk in Piazza del Popolo. It was originally from Helopolis in Egypt, in front of the Temple of the Sun. Augustus brought it in 10 AD for the Circus Maximus. It toppled and was buried until the 1600s when Pope Sixtus had it placed where it is today.
